“Cinema’s Version of Comfort Food” The Rom-Communist Manifesto is a 48-page publication celebrating the Romantic Comedy genre in film. It takes a look at the genre's history, its "death" and rebirth, and its significance in American culture. I designed the book to be playful, feminine, and simple: reflecting the narrative and mood of a classic Rom-Com in both aesthetic and organization. Monochromatic imagery, feminine display type, and heavy margins work together to create a celebratory tone and references to classic cinematography.
